Harsimus Cove

Emmy first fell in love with Jersey City in 2004 when she started working for Jersey City Medical Center as a mobile social worker, a job that took her all over our fine city. She is now an enthusiastic resident of Harsimus Cove and professor of social work at a large public university in New Jersey. By day, she teaches in Newark and collects data on homeless services. By night, you can find her at JC City Council meetings or walking her small Boston Terrier somewhere in the vicinity of Prato Bakery.

Van Vorst Park

Patrick and his wife Andrea Ducas first moved to Jersey City in 2008. At work, he's a web project manager. At home, Patrick loves getting to know his neighbors amidst the big-city-small-town vibe of JC. He's committed to fighting for progressive causes and he ran for the Democratic County Committee to do just that. Because change starts at the local level and the Committee is as local as local gets.
